I loved my time at IPFW. The talented and dedicated faculty and diverse education opportunity made it the best choice I've ever made. It changed my life! However I can no longer support a university that erroneously cuts successful and necessary programs or an administration that continues to be disingenuous to and to gaslight it's students, faculty, alumni, and community, who have continuously expressed criticism and concern over these cuts for years. Apparently IPFW decided that direct quotes from a genocidal tyrant are not promoting violence (but symbols that indirectly reference that same tyrant are, because why bother being consistent about this).
Increasingly feels like university aesthetic is valued more highly than my education.
A university like IPFW promotes quality education at an affordable price but when programs get cut quality education is no longer apart of that mission. Northeastern Indiana deserves a comprehensive public university and IPFW will no longer be one if the cuts go through on January 2017. This university also deserves one star because the administration has not been forthcoming with information regarding these cuts that were formally just programs being "restructured."
