"Comprehensive universities" need a wide variety of liberal arts degrees. You can't be comprehensive without Women's Studies, Philosophy, Geosciences, French, etc.
IPFW is canceling programs that make a difference and produce well rounded students. I'm extremely confident in my choice now not to attend this college. I want my education to prepare me for all perspectives and let me explore different avenues.
I was so excited to further my education and go to college. It's only my second year here and my program is getting cut, along with so many important liberal arts programs. It truly is sad and heartbreaking that we are being treated as numbers and not people
IPFW is no longer living up to its values of diversity and serving the public. I was thrilled to have an affordable university I could get a comprehensive education at, but they are changing that in the middle of my education. Not only is it poor timing, but with poor communication and no respect for students or faculty.
