I called this morning regarding my service animals not being allowed in a hotel. My call was answered by a gentleman who asked if my service animals had paperwork to prove they were service animals as well if they were professionally trained. When I said the Ada did not have such requirements He said, "ma'am, I know what I'm talking about." , and became very hostile. I have attached screenshot from the ADA's official website in an email showing that neither one of these are required and ask that your staff be better trained ... read more

Not understanding why it’s so hard to work with these people. I have disabilities and you really have to assert your disability. They keep trying to back up as you ask for assistance. Having a disability and bring it to their attention, they just wanna act like you have zero rights. They are trying to be this place where rights are accepted but not taking things seriously. Very unprofessional and ironically enough discriminatory themselves. They kept repeatedly misstating my last name. They ignored when I corrected them and they talked down to me like I was a toddler or child. Not everyone who has autism has a below average IQ. It is deeply insulting and disturbing that this kind of behavior is allowed to continue with this organization.

The person I spoke to on the phone was not helpful at all. You are better off calling a lawyer to find out about your disability rights. They do not care to help you at all, and the advice I received was wrong. So, once again, call a lawyer for advice, not this poorly run state agency.

These people are combative and rude. They say they will help you and then they accuse you of arguing with them when that was not even close to what you were doing. Very confusing. Also, every single thing you bring up that is a fair housing issue or ADA issue that has been confirmed by other civil rights organizations they try to fight you on and say that those are not actual issues. This is not a disability rights organization. There's no advocacy here at all. And maybe don't rush people to answer questions or anything like... read more
