I called this morning regarding my service animals not being allowed in a hotel. My call was answered by a gentleman who asked if my service animals had paperwork to prove they were service animals as well if they were professionally trained. When I said the Ada did not have such requirements He said, "ma'am, I know what I'm talking about." , and became very hostile. Not understanding why it’s so hard to work with these people. I have disabilities and you really have to assert your disability. They keep trying to back up as you ask for assistance. Having a disability and bring it to their attention, they just wanna act like you have zero rights. They are trying to be this place where rights are accepted but not taking things seriously. They ignored when I corrected them and they talked down to me like I was a toddler or child. Not everyone who has autism has a below average IQ. These people are combative and rude. They say they will help you and then they accuse you of arguing with them when that was not even close to what you were doing. Very confusing. Also, every single thing you bring up that is a fair housing issue or ADA issue that has been confirmed by other civil rights organizations they try to fight you on and say that those are not actual issues. This is not a disability rights organization. There's no advocacy here at all. And maybe don't rush people to answer questions or anything like... read more
