The food @ Sambol is very good. – Sambol is a very good place to eat. I really like the indian decorations and the food is great. They have these delicious dishes that i really enjoy . Me and my family go out there even though we live really far away, but it's worth the car ride. it's located in a good place, where anyone can go visit. many people complain about the service, I'm sorry to say to those people, but the service has always been great to me, maybe it was that one day that you probably had bad luck, but if you work... read more
Delicious, flavorful, and good service My husband and I went to Sambol around 7 pm on a Tuesday night and found that the place was packed, but we were able to get a table and the waiter was helpful and the service was fine. We ordered the Chicken Makahani (Butter Chicken), Palak Chana (spinach and garbanzo beans), garlic naan, and carmel custard. The food was served quickly and was hot and delicious. Most Indian restaurants serve Chicken Makahani but I've never tasted this dish as flavorful as it was at Sambol. The cooks see... read more
BEST INDIAN FOOD – This restaurant beats Taste of India and Great India and is the best restaurant for Indian cuisine in Minnesota. You can't find anything as good as this in the midwest. The spices are authentic and everything tastes homemade and fresh. Would go there everyday if I could.
Agree the service is terrible I agree with the other review that said the service was the worst in town. My food was was not what I ordered, and I could not finish it. Worse still, my son's order was forgotten, even after reminders, and he was not served until the rest of our party of 6 had finished. The worst part, was the utter lack of regard for this poor service. Not one apology, and no credit on our bill. We won't be back.
The BEST Indian and Sri Lankan food in the Twin Cities! Having been to Southern Asia many times, I have experienced what true Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine is like, I have high expectations for Indian restaurants in the US. I have found that Sambol Restaurant has gone above and beyond other Indian restaurants in MN and the US with their authentic and irresistible cuisine.
Worst Service in the Twin Cities – Good, not great food Terrible service Atmosphere is slightly better than a typical strip mall restaurant My wife and I have been here twice. First visit. Our food came which looked wrong and we pointed out to the waiter, he replied that we were wrong, so we thought, it looks good lets eat. As we took a couple bites we verified that indeed the food was not what we ordered. Again we pointed this out to the waiter, to which he looked confused and had nothing to say. The wrong food was good and... read more
My favorite – I enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, and it was the best indian food I've had in the twin cities. I try to save it for special occasions otherwise, I'd gain a ton of weight - everything is so good.
yummy indian food – I've eaten at this place three or so times and loved the food each and every time. I especially would recommend the lamb palak and the korma. Both are excellent. On our first visit my husband ordered something that was out of this world, but we can't remember what it was!!! Maybe it was the Masala? We'll have to keep going back to try more and more. The portions are good sized---we usually take home an extra serving or two. We've ordered take out a couple of times and found it to be just as good.
Great Indian food – Be patient with me, this is my first review. I brought a couple of Guyanese friends here on Tuesday 4/24. We had the lunch buffet. Chicken curry, dum aloo, mango custard, tandori chicken, naan, eggplant curry, rice, salad and golden jammers (gulab jamun). This is what we all had to eat. It all tasted so good. My first time having dum alloo. That is some really good stuff. The chicken curry was excellent. I am use to it being a bit more spicier, but this was great just the same. The gulab jamun, I could ne... read more
