This TPA is focused on low cost solutions for employers who care little about their employees. Account holder experience is horrible. No one returns calls, no one takes responsibility for payouts. We never received individual statements or access to accounts. I have personally requested a payout said to take up to 7 business days; have received no payment or further information for 45 days. Cheap employers may love it; horrible solution for those who care about their employees. I wouldn't put my money here.

Adding a 401(k) plan to our company benefit package was essential for us, but doing so correctly was daunting without prior experience. Fortunately we were referred to Independent Retirement and found their deliberate process reassuring that the plan was being implemented correctly. Their team was very timely in responding to questions and provided the necessary direction to assure a successful outcome. Supporting a local business is important to us and we are happy to have found Independent Retirement for this service.

We recently switched to Independent Retirement from another TPA, and the implementation process was so smooth and easy. Eric was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process, and our questions were answered in a timely manner. We are excited to continue working with Independent Retirement!

Michael Landerholm gave poor customer service. When I needed to roll over an account due to change of employment, there was arrogance, unclear communication and was talked down to. I have never done this before and needed simple clear instructions. I was told would be kept informed about process yet that didn't happen. I would recommend a different representative of Independent Retirement.
