Our experience at The Canal Apartments was marked by ongoing stress, poor communication, and a clear lack of respect from InCity Properties. What makes it worse is that we were renting a newly renovated unit—not an old building—yet we faced constant problems that were brushed off as "normal." Would not recommend. Moved in to a renovated unit that had a washer machine that leaked within 3 Weeks(that's 3 loads). Damaging the floorboards and flooring. 8 months later the machine is finally replaced over the course of 3 weeks, and somehow It's my fault it's been broken since we moved in(they claimed overloading). Reported and documented multiple times. Maintenance also asked us to order our own part for it if we wanted it done faster when first reported. I worked with Halie. She is prompt, knowledgeable, and has great communication skills. Halie helped to reduce the stress of moving, excellent service.
Don't even want to give 1 star but I couldn't post without it. If you rent from here, get a lawyer. This company is super shady, they generate fake invoices upon move-out for extra charges, they create enigmatic line-items for unknown charges, they don't respond in a timely manner, the call box never worked and packages were continually stolen. Their upkeep on the property wasn't even minimal. Don't EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER rent from InCity/Bravo BOB LLC
