Inakaya holds a very special place in my heart. I have made many pilgrimages from Lexington all the way over to St. Andrews and waited over an hour just for a spot at the sushi bar. For those that don't know, you will never find a purer miso soup, more perfectly cooked tempura shrimp, or as ridiculously fresh selections of fish as what "The Kaya" offers. Absolutely the best, freshest and largest variety for Sushi/Sashimi in SC. I have been going to Inakaya Watanabe for years and there is no other Sushi bar that I have encountered that meets the standards that Ryo sets in his cuisine. You can get a California Roll anywhere, big deal, but if you want Bluefin, Wahoo, Cobia, Japanese Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and what ever is fresh and in season, you must visit Inakaya Watanabe.
