Uncle Bob Well...I could write a book about this place...back in the day. I was the originator, and am very proud to see it still going after 33+ years. Mr. Abe and crew do an excellent job. Real food takes time to prepare, and they do it so well; in many areas, Macrobiotic, Japanese, Vegan, etc. His fish preparation is much better than mine was. This was the first Japanese restaurant to serve brown rice in LA, that is still operating.
Authentic Inaka – Inaka has high quality organic macrobiotic panAsian food in a down tempo, fresh, atmosphere. I was delighted with their friendly service. Over all it was a simply restorative and enjoyable experience. I hopw it will be a long time favorite.
Many choices I've been going to this restaurant since Macrobiotic Diets were popular in the 1970's. It isn't all vegan, but there are many vegan options. There is public parking on the streets around the restaurant.
Super-Healthy-Restaurant – A rare jewel in the rough. My boyfriend is a vegan and I love fish - this is a place that meets both our needs. Healthy yet delicious food for the vegetarian, I recommend this place for those who like organic food and Japanese food. Exquisite macrobiotic food, still wonderful after all these years! – We are SO LUCKY to have Inaka in a trendoid place like LA where few longtimers survive. The atmosphere is calm and serene.
