I did the web form to schedule an appointment based on them being a "provider" through VSP. They called back threatening a $79 cancelation fee if I didn't correct something with my insurance. Ok... I literally spent 5 minutes on their website and they'd have no way to bill or charge me. Very weird people. You don't start a relationship with a customer by trying to coerce them with threat of fees.
Jane Hafen has a lot of work to do on her bedside manner and perhaps needs to take an anti-bias workshop so that she can improve the way she serves Black patients.During my eye exam, she kept implying that I didn't take of myself, and that I am probably diabetic (which I am not). Dr. Hafen has been a wonderful Optometrist to me for over 12 years. Very professional, generous with her time, and up on the latest in eye health and medical technology. Her staff is always gracious and efficient. She worked with me for months to get a difficult correction for contact lenses and for my eyeglass Rx, to get me better vision. I like Jane. She is timely, does a good job of developing rapport and answers all my questions. The office is a friendly and efficient workplace.
