I've been with Impact Strong for over 6 months. When I first tried out this gym It was on a groupon and I wasn't quite sure this was for me. Needless to say once the groupon expired I joined and have no regret. Our A+ trainers (Josh, Tyler and Geo)are so patient and go above and beyond to help us unlike many other gyms I've been at. I absolutely love the workouts. I feel like I really get the most out of both their HIIT fitness and kickboxing classes. My co-workers and I have tried other places and didn't enjoy them as much we do at Impact. We are here to stay. Josh, Geo, and Tyler are all really nice.
I had tried a different kickboxing place first. I loved the kickboxing workout, just not the place. I found Impact Strong by chance and I absolutely love it. I am getting the most amazing workouts in both their HIIT and kickboxing classes, but what I love most is that they are each a quick 30 minutes! You get in there, train really hard, relieve all of your stress, and come out feeling SO GOOD! I can't tell you how much I actually look forward to my workouts, they are so fun and grueling.
The best decision I have made since I moved to Austin! I have tried out all different sorts of gym classes and boot camps before and I have never come close to loving something as much and being as dedicated as I am to Impact. I look forward to 5:00 everyday so I can rush out of work and over to Impact to have a killer workout. Josh, Geo, and Tyler are all amazing trainers that make the work outs challenging but so much fun. If there's one thing you NEED to do for yourself it's to try out Impact. High Intensity Workout – I've been going here for about 5 months. I really like the short, high-intensity workouts. It's also really fun to hit things. ;) A typical workout starts with some stretching and then a 10-15 minute warmup. The warm-up tends to focus on technique-- teaching you the proper way to throw certain punches or kicks. It's a mix of boxing, muay thai, and karate from what I can tell. Fun Intense workout – This is a different type of workout where you are punching and kicking a variety of bags and machines for one minute intervals...The owners are very knowledgable and dedicated to teaching the different techniques for kicking and punching. The workout is fun, quick, and full body. You get a ton of exercise in a short period of time. I am a novice at this type of work out, but they made it easy for me to learn what I needed to know.
