Sent my son here and his instructor was Randy. He said the Randy was really patient and actually loved teaching so it made it much easier to go through. Highly recommend!

Very flexible to accommodate my son's practice schedule and get in the class hours. Also, Vicki runs the office and is wonderful. She is very responsive, returns calls, and makes sure everything is communicated well.

I learned with Ted and passed the first time round. He is clearly an expert at his job with vast experience. I started from zero driving experience and after 4 classes I was pretty confident behind the wheel. If you want to learn fast he's the guy for the job. He is a direct individual, so if you mess around, he will call you out on it. I personally like that approach as I am there to learn and not be babied. Ted also knows exactly what you will be asked to do during the real test so you will get plenty of practice beforehan... read more

My 15 year old son needed to take driver's ed to get his license. He took the month long class. What a great experience. His instructor, Randy was informative and interesting during the book work - my son actually wanted to go because of his stories. Randy got them driving almost instantly. He inspired confidence and when a freak thunderstorm hit in the midst of a driving outing, Randy talked the kids through the skills they needed.

I cannot thank the office staff and instructors at Illinois Driving School enough for their patience, assistance and understanding in helping my 80-something mother renew her driver's license. Their Adult Refresher Course was just what my mom needed. Her instructor, Andrew Danek, was superb; he helped calm my mother's nerves so she could focus on practicing her skills. End result - my husband, i, and a couple of my friends learned safe road behavior and got driver's license in our mid to late 20-ies, after taking classes with Ted. We really loved his straightforward no tip-toeing around approach. If you are doing something stupid he will call you out on it immediately. I was very nervous about driving- so much so that I was 32 and didn't have a license. In 4 lessons, Andy whipped me into shape. He pushed me in a way that was productive and non-intimidating- (I drove myself 9 miles to my yoga class on my first lesson) and got me over my fear very quickly. He's not only a great teacher, he's fun to be in the car with. I was a student driver @ this school and had a good experience. The instructor instructed me on everything there is to know about driving, also behavior in traffic, very important! I definitely don't want to become a aggressive driver, we have enough of those in beautiful Chicagoland! I can honestly say my practice driving was great, safe and very helpful! @ the road test the examiner told me I was a very smart and safe driver so Yes!I got my drivers license :-) Maybe my age has also something to do with it, I am 42 yrs old.... read more
