Maria Ilardi is very attentive and compassionate. She is a skillful practitioner and helps not only with medication prescribing, but also suggests activities and thoughts for coping with my psychological and life challenges. Maria is very responsive to me anytime I reach out for assistance. She is awesome and I really appreciate her integrity!
Maria is a good listener. She treats the whole person and does not overreact in situations. She recommends very good things to implement and the correct amount of medicine, within a fine balance! She has a great gift to encourage natural ways to help as well. She would want everyone to have the correct amount help for their diagnosis .
Limited views from an entitled reality. For anything more than bad hair days, go somewhere else.
This provider is not Health at Every Size (HAES) or intuitive eating aligned. Do not see this provider if you have had or are currently suffering from an eating disorder. She recommended on several occasions that I needed to cut out certain foods (sugar and certain carbs) to help with my eating disorder… which is not okay to say to anyone with an eating disorder even if they are in a larger body. Maria does not diagnose properly, inciting a series of "yes-or-no" questions directly related to the DSM criterion. Like quite literally, she will read off the symptoms from the DSM and have you answer yes or no. This is how she diagnosed me with something I do not have, undiagnosed me with something I very much do have, and then insisted I had something which I had never experienced. Would NOT see her. Unfortunately I don’t think Maria was equipped for my situation. She was nice at first, but I struggle with hereditary depressions and anxiety and it was like she didn’t believe me. I did not feel comfortable talking to her and felt judged by her. When I decided to seek treatment elsewhere I found out she had written something in some kind of chart that all psychiatrists can see I guess? That stated I should not be prescribed any medications. She's compassionate and knowledgeable, and truly seems to care about her patients.
Maria was always trigger-happy to diagnose me with a new disorder every time we met. Also happy to prescribe anything and everything. When I attempted suicide and saw her days later for a med change she cheerfully asked how everything was going, as she had forgotten my hospital visit. Would never recommend to anyone.
