Authentic Italian cuisine served in an intimate space with an open kitchen - Il Tesoro feels like a ristorante you might find in one of the lovely neighborhoods in Rome. Perfecto!
We ate here twice during our first week in Sanibel. In fact, we canceled our reservations elsewhere in order to return here. Every dish we ate was superb. Definitely come here for authentic, creative, amazing Italian food!
We just returned from Christmas Dinner ... 5 stars !!! Fresh burrata with speck, tomatoes and greens for ; I had the special grilled veal chop over porcini mushroom risotto with sautéed mushrooms over all. Perfectly cooked and enough to take home. Too full for the gorgeous homemade desserts we saw leaving the kitchen but will be back before we have to go home next week. A must stop every vacation on Sanibel.
