The best halibut special EVER – Had a business lunch here and ordered the halibut special which was prepared simply in a wine/lemon sauce. I have eaten a LOT of halibut, coast to coast, and without question, this fish was the absolute most delicious I have ever tasted. If it is available, don't hestitate to order it!

Some of the best food in LA – Wow, I can't believe that I've lived in LA almost 10 years and have never heard of this place. Had an amazing salad and cured meats for an appetizer. The wine was amazing. Pizza was ok. Service was impeccable. The happy hour is insane, there must have been 10 plates full of food and no one eating it!

Great happy hour – Was introduced to Il Moro by a friend who works in the area. It's his regular lunch spot, because it's nearby, and it's very good. The happy hour is fantastic. A wide selection of interesting wines and beers (they also offer a tasting selection of various wines) at very reasonable prices. The main attraction is the fantastic and free happy hour buffet. Lots of goodies like tomatoes 'n' basil 'n' mozarella, bruschetta, crusty bread broiled with parmigiano reggiano atop, miniature shrimp cocktails, roasted c... read more

Among the very best Italian in LA – 'Il Moro' was truly a great find. Tucked away in an unassuming office tower courtyard in a quiet part of town, 'Il Moro' is LA's undiscovered Italian gem. The prices are very reasonable (the wine especially is a bargain) and the food is impeccable and authentic. The main dining room is minimalist is shades of white, beige and black, and the courtyard is very charming with loads of greenery, a babbling brook (which completely covers any traffic noise), and shimmering candlelight. Great food... read more

LA Weekly Said it was the best....and they were right! – I usually read reviews with a little bit of suspicion, but the LA Weekly roundup of the best Italian restaurants in LA was intriguing...we can't get enough good Italian in LA! This place was extraordinary - the food was as good as anywhere we have tried recently, but it was much more affordable than comparable places! My waiter was from Italy and could not have made us feel more welcome.

50/50 – Usually the service is great here, but lately I have noticed that the food taste different. The KM is a bit heavy handed on the salt. The last two times I went. But over all it's a nice place and wine selections is tremendous! Oh, skip the dessert, the dessert is very average, have it some where else. I've tried almost all of them and it's okay.

greatest happy hour anywhere... – The title of my tave says it all. I had pasta with meat sauce, and one with spicy sauce, toamtoes stuffed with tuna, these chicken taquito things, crab salad, mushrooms stuffed with herbed goat cheese, all kind of italian meats and cheeses, calamari, and so much more. how much did all this cost you may ask? NOTHING, it was all free. the food spread varies from day to day, but its all free. the drinks i think are regular price, not sure though, all i had where 2 cokes, my friend had 2 glasses... read more

A friendly staff delivers powerhouse Northern Italian fare in a serene setting. – The Scene A bright, spacious oasis tucked into the first floor of a high-rise, the restaurant's patio area, with lush greenery and a waterfall, attracts a black-clad younger crowd, while the airy, high-ceilinged dining room brings in a steady stream of laid-back locals. The Food Il Moro features Northern Italian cuisine in all its herb- and garlic-infused glory. Chefs cook in an open-air kitchen, conjuring up routinely spectacular food delivere... read more

A Perfect 10 Dining Experience – You can't really see this place from Olympic Blvd (the entrance is on Purdue) so obviously these guys are relying on word of mouth to get their customers - which might be why everything was so wonderful! It's a beautiful restaurants with a sleek bar area, lovely spacious dining room with a glassed-in private room, and a garden with lots of heat lamps where all the young people eat (inside, where I was, was a slightly older crowd. Outside was young hipsters). First we sat at the bar and flippe... read more
