Located in The Pine Inn, this elegant Italian restaurant serves up incredible bread in the morning and spectacular entrees at night. Not only is it a great place for wedding receptions and business meetings, it makes for a wonderfully romantic night out. The Veal Scalloppine and the Ravioli Di Verdura are excellent, as is the extensive wine list. The decor is fancy but not overbearing. The service is excellent. The place caters mostly to hotel guests and conference or wedding attendees.

Great Italian restaurant find!! Great staff managers all work together to help staff. Jay is wonderful. Prob the best pizza we have ever had. It was so neat to watch the cooks in the open kitchen. Teamwork from the back of the house to the open kitchen was awesome.
We've been huge fans of Il Fornaio Carmel for almost 20 years. We go for dinner, then to the rotunda for coffee in the am. We've particularly enjoyed the Italian wines by the glass, in addition to the wonderful staff. Last night we were very disappointed to hear that somebody in corporate changed the wine list! The food was spectacular!!! The location is wonderful and as a local we really enjoy dining there!
We were disappointed. We've been big fans of Il Fornaio for many years, but this time the service was indifferent and our meals were under par. My eggs were overcooked and the tomatoes were meant to be juicy and delicious, but they were undercooked. My husband's waffle was chewy. Someone should be paying more attention! in fairness, my Ramos Fizz was delicious.
Enjoyed the service and meal, although we waited a very long time to receive the main dish, pizza.
