With a raw bar, wine bar, Italian cuisine and alfresco seating, the crowds never go disappointed. If you can't afford to spend time at the restaurant, you can always pick up your order from the takeaway counter facing the street. They also offer rooms for private parties and the seating capacity is for 150 people.

Good not great... – I visited Visacaya on 2 successive weekends to try and get a fair assessment. The space is divided into an entrance bar area (15%) & a back area with bottle service tables & a small dancing "lane" (85%). Last wknd I was at private party in the back. Front was packed. B&T galore. This past weekend to experience Visacaya on a holiday weekend I went on Sat and Sun. 65% full at 130am. Crowd was disappointing. Some guys in baseball caps and girls in sneakers. It's a good time – The negative reviews seem a bit harsh. While the drinks may have been a bit pricey, the service was courteous and friendly, which is more than most bars in NYC. The music was a good mix of random 80s, rap, you name it. Good decor, nice atmosphere, cool couches for bottle service (we didn't even get a bottle). No problem at the door, no static inside. Girls were very cute. I'll be back.
Worst Club in the City – Going to this place on friday night was one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my 4 years living in the city. The service was not only atrocious (consistently screwed up my orders) but also snobbish. I felt as though the bartenders were thinking they were doing me a favor by letting me spend my money. The music was a nice mix of crappy techno and outdated hip-hop. I will never go back to this poor excuse of a club.
If you can get drunk off one drink.... – definitely go. If you like to have more than one a night, be prepared to empty your wallet or drink before you get there. All mix drinks cost $15 to $18. Nothing priced lower... oh and it's very difficult to get into the next two rooms.. they are VIP and strict about it. The bar itself though was cool looking, worth one drink at the bar and then move on..
The worst place in NYC – I can't think of a worse place to spend time and money. The management and staff try & make you feel blessed for being allowed inside to spend your money. I will never go back and will make it my mission to let others know how obnoxious this place is. (Oh, and we had a table and bought a couple of overpriced bottles)
Halloween at Viscaya – Viscaya has only been open for 2 weeks and based on the Halloween party I attended I was impressed. Beautiful girls, a tough velvet rope and friendly waitresses. I accidently left my credit card at the table I had for the night and returned the next to a helpful doorman who made sure the credit card was retrieved as fast as possible.
