Dr. Jan is very thorough and really cares about her patients. She has a well-rounded approach, asks relevant questions, suggests alternative solutions to medication, talks through preventative measures, and really listens to any concerns. Dr. Jan involves the patient in developing the treatment plan. I’ve actually followed her when she’s moved to different Inova locations, even when it was further than I’d normally want to go.
Dr. Jan is the most caring and compassionate doctor in the Inova system. She listens closely and thoughtfully proposes a course of action, but is always willing to adapt if I have concerns. I would recommend her to all my friends and family.
Must say that I was extremely disappointed with my initial appointment. Didn’t seem to interested or capable of suggesting an standard preventative healthcare plan for my current or long term health care needs and goals. Seemed to rush the appointment. Definitely not patient-centered. Maybe it’s time to retire. She’s not the kind of doctor I wish to see ever again. Thinking it may just be an Inova hospital thing.
