I wanted to do something special for my son who is stationed in Bellingham for the USCG - and we are in Boston. I found Icing on the Cake online - read the reviews, looked at the website and liked what I saw. I called - and then I loved what I found. The customer service is fabulous. My son texted me that night - and I quote " this is the best cake I have ever had" . Thank u Icing on the Cake! He is there 2 more years - so u will be hearing from me a lot! Thanksgiving, Christmas, ......!
The clerk was late to open the shop, they didn't have all of their cupcakes so I picked a random one and it was still very cold and way too sweet. Overall disappointing first experience
Went in a couple days ago and got a couple dozen for my dad's birthday party in assorted flavors. ALL of them were so amazing we were passing them around and sharing, trying to taste as many as possible. Fyi...the Lemon Earl Gray...phenomenal. Thanks for the sweet treats, Vie!! You've effectively ruined all other cupcakes for us. ;)
Got a Key Lime Pie done fkr Valentines day and was absolutely terrific. This was our second time stopping by and ordering and was again a success. The girl that works there is incredibly nice, every time we were there she always gives us something extra to eat. Bellinghams best cake shop.
We loved the Thanksgiving pies we got (apple, banana cream and blackberry) and so for our Christmas lunch we got an assortment of cupcakes. They were a big hit with everyone. I had a chocolate cupcake with choc / peppermint frosting - absolutely delightful! The combination so good because the peppermint was very refined and subtle. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Icing on the Cake! Love the owner - she is a joy.

Love everything about this place! The owner is fabulous and super friendly, and her cupcakes are absolutely amazing. Plus, there are so many great flavors to choose from! Not to mention decently priced. Excited to go back and try some cake and pie!
