Horrible sushi. Although the service was prompt, the sushi itself was not fresh and later caused unpleasant after effects (food p0isoning). I highly do not recommend Ichiban if you consider yourself a sushi lover, or if you don't like feeling sick for hours!
Excelent sushi! – I have eaten at many top notch sushi restaurants around the world (New York, London, Paris, Cape Town), except for Japan, granted these restaurants had great ambiance and good service, but they were really over priced. When it comes to flavor and quality Ichiban is still my favorite. Tampa Sushi – I moved to Tampa from NY about a year ago with my girlfriend and as soon as we got here we went looking for a nice Japaneses restaurant. When we find Ichiban we were very surprised at how good it was. After eating at several Japanese restaurants in the area I have to say Ichiban is by far the best one. Absolutely the best. – Best sushi and sashimi in Tampa. Fresh, beautifully garnished, right temperature, generous servings and a team of waitresses that give you personal attention. I've been going there for over 15 years and have yet to find a better place.
Good sushi – My partner and I were regulars at shiso sushi, which we considered the best sushi in Tampa, but they have unfortunately closed. We wanted a place close to Seminole Heights and GOOD. We were very happy to find Ichiban. Great rolls and very friendly service.
