The oysters were wonderful and the Dan Burger was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Service was friendly and spot on

The crab cakes were the best I've had!! An excellent choice of restaurant for Christmas Eve!
Great menu, hit or miss on preparation sometimes. Service is erratic at best. Big gripe though is that they loose reservations (after confirming the week before), and do nothing to make up for it but imply that somehow it's your fault for not speaking with the correct person. Not very classy for an expensive place. Wine is reasonably priced, some good craft beer. Nice atmosphere. But it doesn't really make up for the lack of service and clunky management. We used to be regulars.
Friendly atmosphere, personable service, and great food. Dinner is good, but happy hour is even better!
It was historic and good!!!! It was so good!!!!! The cheesecake dessert was unbelievable!!! We never tasted anything like it before!! It was so yummy! It had different sauces and things to dip it in. I'll go back just for the dessert!!!!!!! The waiter was so nice.
We arrived on the opening hour - 5:30 on a Saturday, having missed lunch. Sat at the cozy bar. Friendly and attentive bartender and wait staff shared stories of the history of Herndon. We shared great seared scallops in an excellent buttery sauce, and then I had the best crab cake EVER. For those who want an alternative to seafood, the burger was fresh, juicy and perfectly cooked. Unique cafe and highly recommended.
