Dr. Brown had a scheduled appointment with my wife, Stormy. He was on vacation after we drove 2 1/2 hours to see him. He called from the airport and recommended the Ross procedure to Stormy. He mentioned nothing about extra risk from the highly complex surgery. Stormy did not need a Ross procedure to survive. Doctor Brown informed us it was his last surgery. Stormy lost her hands and feet. No empathy from Brown whatsoever. He considers himself heroic in saving her life from a procedure she didn’t need. The is there buried in... read more

When I was 14 years old Dr. Brown treated me for Pectus Excavatum. This wasn't a life threatening condition, and I wasn't necessarily in pain, but I will never forget the kindness and intelligence that Dr. Brown conveyed. I had my 30th birthday last week and currently workout and bench press more than my body weight. Without Dr. Brown I would never be where i'm at today. I happened to see an article that was posted within Riley that called attention to Dr. Brown deciding to retire in 2020. The article was quite emotional to ... read more
