About this business

"The Army-Navy store with style", I. Goldberg features outdoor and working gear that is both functional and fashionable. Durable brands of apparel and footwear like Dickies, Carhart, Wrangler, Levi's, Timberland, Carolina, Herman, Black Rock, and Caterpillar highlight the inventory. Accessories for outdoor activities like hiking and fishing are also available. Goldberg is certainly not what you would expect from a typical army-navy store where designer fleeces are sold along with construction boots. Discount prices and 30%-o... read more

I'd heard about it and visited it for the first time today.I'm always looking for old school (70's era) army navy stores but they are few and far between these days. This is one of the best in the northeast I have found for military surplus clothing at military surplus prices. I got a good Danish winter hat and wool Greek overcoat for winter visits to the dog park. Clean with friendly staff. Wish I lived close enough to stop by more. After I left I think I should have picked up a Royal Mail hat, or that Dutch government over... read more

Great array of products, reasonable prices, great service – This Center City, Philadelphia store is perhaps the best I've seen of its type. Sure, some of the products are vintage (even ancient), but that's exactly what many people expect and seek from an Army Navy store. Notwithstanding, there are numerous contemporary products - winter wear, hiking gear, sporstwear, undergarments, specialty items, you name it - all at reasonable prices. For almost 20 years I have walked by, shopped or simply perused inside the store and hav... read more

Had my shoes stolen by the bag person! – The bag guy stole my shoes! I left my bag with the bag person as usual when you go int there and after getting home directly from I Goldberg, the shoes I just bought before going to I Goldberg are replaced with someones dirty shoes. I couldn't believe it! And the guy stole my receipt so when I went back, I couldn't file a report and by the time I went back to the original store to get another receipt they're closed. 100$ shoes gone. I can afford it but what a trashy thing to do. I won... read more

Theres no racism there... lol – Half the employees are black at a jewish army navy store.... racism is a little hard to come by. If you are a criminal, perhaps store associates following you around may feel a little intrusive. I call it good service when a salesman is right on top of the action to help you out with whatever you need (or whatever you may need). Interested in that item? Let me see what we have in stock- going to buy it? Here I'll put it at the front desk for you if you want to continue shopping. For those with... read more

Borderline Racism – I read all reviews about this store prior to going to it and was very excited to go because I like these kinds of stores. I went in and I was greated with kindness then all downhill from there I was asked if I needed help then I was followed around by a sales associates as if I was a f@#king criminal I went downstairs and I was not bothered but on the main level I felt harrassed then I went upstairs and I was followed after telling the sales associate I needed no help he and his coworker followed my wife ... read more

Vintage military - so awesome! – When you walk in, there are the normal t-shirts with clever sayings and tube socks and whatnot (pick up some wife-beaters while you're there; they really do go with everything). However, it's the basement that's the treasure trove here! From vintage military casks and bags to coats and miscellaneous other clothing items, the basement is a great place to find a jacket or accessory that is super cool and guaranteed not to be seen on anyone else.

Since 1919, this army-navy and outdoor store has endured with rugged charm and durability. – In Short Worn gas masks, iron-on flag patches, French Navy wool coats--all seem that they've been around since the grand reopening. Still, it's mostly casual classics that outdoorsy Americans have come to depend on, with a smattering of stuff that's survival chic. There are 501s and cowboy-cut Wranglers, Wigwam socks and Sebago Docksiders, Dickies pants and Fruit of the Loom, North Face backpacks and portable stoves. But don't overlo... read more

Quality at low prices – why pay more than $8 for a double layere and lined wool hat? Excellent selection of hoodies, t-shirts, winterwear, and surplus gear at good prices. Much neede in center city.
