I moved to Wilmington from Raleigh, and I was recommended to Hypnotix by a friend. I was so happy to find out it is an Aveda salon!! I found Hypnotix to be reasonably priced and I'm always happy when I leave. I have been to the salon mostly for color with Holly and Kristie, which I'm pretty picky about and I have always been more than satisfied.. I love my blonde hair! The Best – I am truly delighted with Brittany's magic...her cuts and color are just what I want. The Aveda products are the best hair products I have come across, and the staff at Hypnotix is always friendly and helpful. My hair has never been so happy! Thank you Brittany!
Best in Wilmington, No Comparison – Moving from upstate I never expected to find such a gem in Wilmington. I have been going here now for 3 years, and can contest tat Lorissa is the best not only in town, but the entire coastal area. Seriously. The best. I get compliments everyday on my hair. Go there for your next cut, I've already done the legwork in finding it for you.
had myself a good cry after leaving – I went in with an open mind and came out with Effed up hair!!! I made a last min apmt to get a cut and highlights. I tried explaining how my hair tends to "pull reds" and would need an ashy toner. I came out with a FULL head of RED hair... No, make that ORANGE!!!!!!! I am calling tomorrow and hoping to God that they will fix this and not charge me. I am truly pissed and can't stand to look in the mirror right now. Save yourself time, money and tissues and go somewhere else!!!!!
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! – Awful experience, worst experience in 16 years of having my hair done. I went to Lorissa, the owner, based on the reviews online - I will never do that again. I went in for highlights and the first time the toner didn't last the day so I went back in and she retoned me and put me under the dryer for a few minutes. Caitlin Rocks!!! – First off, I have never written a review on anything. Hypnotix deserves it. I have been going here just under a year, and I won't go anywhere else. Always a smile – I have been to some of the best salons in the US because I have lived all over, from San Fran to Dallas to NY and now at the beach in NC - Hypnotix is absolutely wonderful!! THE BEST STYLISTS AND CHIC SALON!!!!! – I just absolutely love Lorissa. My sister and her friend referred me to Lorissa and I didn't know what to expect. But now I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. Past blond highlighting jobs have always ended up dull and brassy looking. But when Lorissa does my color, she makes it look not only natural, but beautifully bright and layered. She is also fabulous at cutting and styling. Best so far – Well I had only been into Hypnotix twice and though it was great. I have now been in for a third time and I think it is offical, they are the Best!!! I believe in "A Third Times A Charm" and this holds true in this case only it has been everytime, not just on the third time. I Love Aveda, and Hypnotix offered me everything I was looking for in an Aveda salon. Great customer service, great hair service and I even got the finishing touches......Thank you!!!!!!
