I started seeing Dr Shakib for my hEDS. Within the first few appointments I had more answers than I had gotten in a decade. We connected almost all of my other issues to EDS and began treatment for them. This treatment has changed my life and I couldn’t be thankful enough. Dr Shakib and the whole office is extremely kind and welcoming. I utilize a service animal to assist with my mobility and the whole office has been nothing but amazing with him!

For the past ten years I had dealt with constant pain in my shoulders, limiting my mobility and ability to navigate everyday life. During this time I had been to countless doctors, all proposing hypothetical invasive treatments solely to figure out what the problem could be. One doctor suggested hypermobility, resulting in coming across Dr. Shakib. Within the first meeting, Dr. Shakib was able to assess the issue quickly, and point out other affected areas even I had not noticed prior. Additionally, through her aid and instr... read more

I am a 24 year old nurse who has dealt with chronic pain, joint hypermobility, poor posture, and various injuries for as long as I can remember. I first came to Dr. Shakib in July of 2023 after repeatedly trying and failing to manage my pain and apprehension towards physical activity as a result. I have tried “traditional” physical therapy many times—mostly for my back, but also for my knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows. Even after different therapists, different exercises, and different perspectives, I still felt like nothi... read more

If you are a hyper mobile individual or suspect you may be hyper mobile, I encourage you to get in touch with Dr. Shakib’s office as soon as possible. Before coming to Dr. Shakib, I went to several doctors and physical therapists with no answers for recurring injuries in different parts of my body. As soon as I walked into Dr.Shakib’s office, I knew I was in the right place and at the “last stop” of an emotional journey of not understanding the chronic pain /aches within my body. You’re not going to find another office that ... read more
