Front office staff was superb! I'll admit i was extremely anxious walking in the day of my surgery. I had a terrible attitude, and I inadvertently took some of my frustration out on them. They stayed professional, courteous and sympathetic to my situation. After my procedure I made it a point to return to that window and apologize for the way I had acted earlier because I'm sure they deal with that a lot, and they were absolutely not deserving of any of it. I have had 2 prior surgeries here, and never had as many billing issues as I've had with my most recent surgery. I went in to change the form of payment for my payment plan and she asked me if I wanted to change it to $162.50 so I could be done and not have to pay it longer than 4 months. The original payment arrangement was for $150.00. She confirmed that she canceled my old payment plan and updated it with the new one. Well, that's not what happened. Forced to pay higher than estimated patient responsibility from united healthcare
Every person on the surgical team who cared for me before, during and after my procedure was incredible and provided extraordinary care. They were compassionate and empathetic, as well at really good at what they do. Thank you to Dr. Ebert and everyone else!
The Good: When you finally get there for your surgery, the staff are nice & the nurses take care of you. They give you a copy of discharge instructions to take home, along with a get well card signed by the staff which is a nice touch. The Bad: It's extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. It took me 23 times dialing & re-dialing (during business hrs) to get someone to answer the phone so I could make my payment in time (or else they would've canceled my surgery!).
