This is a perfect location if you're exploring the state capitol. Depending on what side of the building you're on you could probably see it, but we didn't get that view. It was still gorgeous, with a great sight of the city. The breakfast was good, they switch some of the items, so while on the first morning we ate sausage and pancakes with the other food, the next day had bacon and French toast with scrambled eggs, toast/bagel/english muffin, hardboiled eggs, yogurt with different toppings like fruit, granola, nuts. Wonderful place to stay if you want to be able to walk and enjoy all that downtown Madison has to offer! Matteo at the front desk and the rest of the staff are top notch and made sure we felt welcomed and comfortable!
Google says this is a 3 star hotel but to me it had a 5-Star feel. The facilities were well kept, clean and convenient (the pool area was especially clean; most hotel pools feel a little dingy to me but not here) and the location was perfect but where they really shone was the service. On the way in I spoke to a gentleman on the phone to iron out some last minute details; he couldn't have been more polite and accommodating.
