Food was good quality but most of it was cold. It took two hours for "off the menu" ordering for Sunday breakfast. We had to ask for everything - jelly, toast, and catsup. Would not recommend. Price off the menu was expensive for what you get. They didn't seem that busy with a lot of empty tables. Apparently a kitchen problem along with a very inattentive server. My favorite thing at hy-vee is the ranch dip that they make themselves! And their white cake.
The guy who served us chicken in the kitchen on 5/5 at 6:00 was awesome! He was very personable and made it a point to interact with us. We were debating on this potatoe patty thing and he told us how delicious they are. He promoted the product. We took a bit too decide and apologized and he said to take our time. Then when we didn't get the potato patty he offered us a sample one and said that next time then we could get one because he wanted us to know we couldn't go wrong getting one. Great job!!!! to the Market Grille management and staff: We thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Brunch. The food was phenomenal! I have never had a brunch anywhere that was filled with so many HEALTHY options, variety of foods and that was so delicious! The staff went above and beyond in their service of our table. We will definitely be back....perhaps for the Mother's Day Brunch!
I've shopped the Edgewood Hy-Vee for years, until they ran a negative ad about my other favorite local grocer, New-Pioneer Co-op. The fact a grocery giant like Hy-Vee feels the need to go after a small locally owned cooperative lacks class and is definitely not cool.
