Huron Valley Ambulance Camp 911 will be held both days from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at Huron Valley Ambulance, 1200 State Circle, Ann Arbor. Camp 911 is a FREE 2-day camp for 8 to 12 year olds. Campers learn CPR and first aid, tour an ambulance, and visit a local emergency room. HVA medics serve as camp counselors, teaching safety, lifesaving skills, and all about Emergency Services careers. To register, visit www.hva.org. A BIG thank you to the medics who took us home Wednesday April 24th - our truck broke down & we needed a ride home - we had no way to transport our daughter who is trach & vent dependent... we live over 2 hrs away & as it was she had a super long day at her Drs appointment & was very tired - the medics were super helpful & very friendly - they made the long ride great & they made our daughter feel very comfortable - their level of understanding for patient care was exceptional !! Unfortunately I’ve had to call HVA more times than I wanted. After ever fall they’ve arrived at a reasonable time and been very professional and friendly. Unfortunately some of the paramedics know me by name! They’re a great bunch “angels”.
