I was a patient there for quite a few years and I had to stop going there because my wife was dying from a hereditary brain disease ! There was a lot going on with her so I had to stop going here ! Now I just tried to get something going so I could come back and they tell me that I have been referred out and that I have to find treatment somewhere else! The one star goes to the friendly front desk staff. I would not recommend Diane Vack to anyone going through mental health struggles. I only met her once after an inpatient psych stay at the hospital and she was incredibly bossy and judgmental, writing in my notes that I only attempted to take my life for attention when I stated that I “wanted someone to listen to my struggles.” as the reason for said attempt, NOT that I only abused substances for attention. The women's ward was dirty 24/7. They let 'trash juice' sit on the floor in the day room; it was so sticky it became a hazard. Even after I requested a cleanup, the trash can remained broken at the bottom. Also, men were staying in the women's unit, which is not safe. The only good thing was the nurses.i pray for the ones in there.
