Resthaven Memory Garden in ****Ohio is a StoneMor property. On 12/26/18 a television crew from Cleveland filmed at Resthaven. The video shows gravestones underwater and surrounded by mud. The Resthaven website reviews also show pictures of overflowing trash cans. There are no positive reviews of this cemetery. My family bought plots at Oakmont Memorial Park and Mortuary in Lafayette back in 1980. We have had 5 services there and I would say everything has been fine. Fast forward to 11/10/18 when I went up to visit my family and found that the cemetery had removed the road to my families grave site as well as many others. I was stunned. Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs has yet again removed items from children’s graves. The reason they gave was that it was too excessively decorated. It’s funny how there are plenty of other graves not belonging to children that still have everything that their families have put out. They have gone through 2 times in a week and removed Luke’s belongings without telling us. When Denise went up there on Thursday she was handed our stuff in a trash bag. There has been a recent change in management at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, and we welcome the family to visit with the current manager for any questions they may have, as well as assurances regarding how the removal of mementos will be handled going forward. The rules and procedures have been reviewed by the staff at the park.
To see what I saw when I went to decorate my families grave site I was totally disgusted by the destruction done by Highland Memory Garden. The equipment had had been ran over graves and markers and vases were missing. There wasn't new graves in the area. It was more like they went joy riding and spun out on the graves. Then placed straw over the destruction to cover it up. Walking the ground showed the true impact of the damage. I wish I had never purchased my service there. . In late March/early April the Charleston area received an extraordinary amount of rain, just following the spring thaw. This made the grounds at Highland Memory Gardens very wet and soft. During the normal course of business, our machinery slipped and sunk into the ground, creating ruts and damaging some markers and vases. The area was levelled and seeded as soon as weather permitted. In February 2017 - My father passed. My father request was to be buried at the Northshore Garden Memories in North Chicago, IL (StoneMor Patners L.P) is the corportare office) for his final resting place and a purchase of a headstone. We picked out the plot and went over the contract. Mom stated that her last wishes are to be cremated (Not buried) in the room with the counselor present. It is our policy to not order memorials until they are paid in full. As a courtesy to Ms. J*************, we placed the order for the memorial in November after she had paid 50% of the contract and approved the design. My sibling is buried at WV Memorial Gardens in Calvin WV. We have had a continual problem with someone stealing things off his grave. We’ve reported it to the cemetery administrator who was very rude to our family and refused to offer any assistance with filing a police report. So basically if you chose to bury your loved one there, that’s what you can expect from this company. No empathy or support for the families afterward.
