Greedy and unethical. This hospital engages in illegal behavior against it's workers and I would NEVER want to promote a business that fires workers for exercising their federal right to form a union. This hospital illegally fired 2 nurses for trying to form a union. That is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Shame on you Huntington Hospital.
Emergency room sucks! Waited over 3 hours! No sense of urgency whatsoever! Every time anybody asked about their status, they were told there were no beds available. How is that possible when the waiting room wasn't even full and I thought ERs are supposed to see you based upon your injuries? LIES! they tell you to wait your turn!
Worse experience of my life tonight. Brought my 9 month old to the hospital because he's having a hard time breathing and has a fever. Nurse checked him in and tells me he will put him on the fast track so he should be in a room no layer then 3 hours. 2 hours pass and I decide to check up and I ask how much longer and he says there are 18 people ahead of him so I remind him he told me he would be on the fast track and he said the fast track ends @12 and I got there @10. The Emergency Room needs to be addressed. I've sat with my 7 year old son for over 5 hours with little to no help.he was given a CT scan over 4 hours ago and we are STILL waiting for a response or indication as to what is wrong...instead of post after post of pats on the back- the truth is that there are people waiting insanely long times and are given little to no explanation as why or what they have in mind for us.
I needed 5 spinal surgeries in two months period and my Dr and nurses were the best!!!
I received fabulous post-op care at Huntington Memorial Hospital following a total hip replacement. Thanks to all the staff on 6East (ortho/neuro unit) for your TLC during my stay.
