I'm a customer for life! We LOVE this place! The Hunters are a wonderful family, and I have enjoyed getting to know this family run business. We've used PetSmart in an "emergency" twice before for grooming. They were more expensive than Hunters and I wasn't happy with their work. That was one time. The second time they called before I had even gotten back home and told me to come pick up my dog because she was not cooperating. old fashion customer service! The Do it yourself Pet wash, was great. The place is clean and smells good. The products they use are safe and plentiful. Even the towels are bright white. My wife and I bathe our dogs ourselves uninterrupted, we took our time. The Hunters were there to give us more towels when we needed. We made a mess and did not have to clean up. We have told all our friends at the dog park about this wonderful place Wroof! Wroof

WE LOVE HUNTERS! our dog does too! Wanted to express how pleased we are with Hunters, the doggy day care, DIY washing facility, and the grooming! I had to respond based on the previous review. The owners are just being cautious - they just want to make sure that the 1st timers become familiar with everything. My daughter has a blast each time we take our dog (35 pound beagle/jack russell) there, for the DIY. So, so We decided to try out their new digs for "do it yourself" doggy bathing. The premises where very clean and smelled great, liked the bathing area. Not too impressed with the owners. They did not leave us alone for one minute (while bathing our dogs). Maybe they though we were going to steal the shampoo?? And, we are 2 middle age Smyrna residents and not very scary looking! Just didn't get a good feeling, don't think we will be returning anytime soon... PROS: new, clean salon CONS: owners...

Great place to take your pet! I've been using Hunter's Pet Grooming for at least 10 years. The family owned and operated facility is very welcoming and the care and concern they show your pet is outstanding. They are very knowledgeable concerning grooming and pet care, plus the atmosphere is very comfortable and joyous. I would not take my Edy anywhere else!! I LOVE Hunter's Pet Grooming! I have referred many of my friends to Hunter's and they have all loved them. I feel like they have become part of my family for the past 7 years. My poodle is treated like a "Queen" when she is there. I appreciate the fact that they are picky about taking new dogs by making sure they have had all of their shots, etc.. I do not want my baby exposed to animals that are not up-to-date on their shots. They are ALWAYS friendly to me and greet Edy with hugs and ... read more

My dog/son is a large breed with a mixture of Chow and Mastiff named Tank. I spoke with Joyce and asked her about grooming him. She said that they typically did not groom Chows because of their disposition but agreed to meet him. After meeting him and seeing how sweet he was they agreed to take care of him. They treat him like one of their own. They have always been more than accommodating and fair. I would not trust anyone else with the care of Tank. They are truly concerned with the care and well being of him.
