My favorite slope within a reasonable drive from NY, perfect for a weekend trip. Good facilities, wide range of trails for both beginners and experts.
Went on a Tuesday, beautiful snow conditions and friendly people! It was my first time at Hunter and I was extremely impressed. Didn't have to wait more than 30 seconds at any lift, skied down and got right back on the lift. We will be back!
Offer great rates for active military. Trails were in great shape, although Belt Parkway had large areas of "ice" like hardpack. Highly recommended to friends.
I've been skiing at Hunter since High School in the late 60's. The best things about Hunter were it's proximity to the Metropolitan area and and the Big Lift Card. Not for nothing but Hunter isn't worth $70/$80 a day. I'm not going to buy a multi mountain pass when I don't ski at the other areas. Guess I'll be driving a little farther and going to Gore this year. Sorry to say good bye to Hunter.
I'm looking forward to making a few good turns at Hunter again this year most years I ski on my birthday see post picture!

The new owners took away the big lift card and expect you to buy a season pass. They also do not give discounts to residents of Hunter.
Hunta is always on point. No lines, good conditions and side hits all over
I like hunter mountains ski resort but l wish they had better service at Rental department.It seemed like nobody cares.
