Just had my first experience at The Hungry Pelican - Soooo Good!!! Fish and chips and crab cakes were amazing - such a great flavor! Service was perfect as well. We will definitely be back!!!

RecommendedI picked up a carry out order a little while ago. Everyone I saw working there was nice and friendly, my order was ready before I expected and both meals (whitefish dinner and fried oyster dinner) were delicious. Hungry Pelican, you complete me! 😉

I hadn't been to a Hungry Pelucan restaurant in years. Probably since the late 80's. I recently discovered one located down Bardstown Road, heading towards Fern Creek. Well, yesterday we finally had a chance to stop by for lunch, and it was wonderful. Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive! The food was fresh, hot, and rather quick. Super yummy, super fresh, super affordable, SUPER waitress! Everything was awesome! The fried things were crispy and not soggy (like Moby Dick for example), the portions were just right, and the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. My only complaint was the little extra pieces of the menu, the long special cards- they were sticky and gross. Everything else was absolutely amazing.
