STOP SERVING FIN SOUP!

I will never eat here. Hunan Lion Gourmet Chinese is the ONLY restaurant in Ohio that still serves shark fin soup. This soup, not only is quite tasteless, it also supports over fishing of sharks. Multiple endangered and threatened shark species have been used for shark fin soup. I am not a save all the animals, tree hugger kind of person, all I am saying is do the sharks a favor, their fins don't even add flavor to soup. Do not support a restaurant that serves this soup.

Not your best bet – I went here not expecting much for a Monday lunch. I was surprised by how nice the place was inside. We got steamed dumplings which were so-so. I got Hunan Beef and he got Hunan Chicken with Shrimp. Ours both came with soup-I got the "corn soup". The soup, which was egg drop with corn and chicken bits, was too salty and I don't know what part of the chicken the pieces came from, but I wasn't going there. My Hunan Beef was also too salty and not spicy, both of which were a bummer. We were brought fried ric... read more

Worst Food I've Ever Had – I'm not one to write reviews, but I feel obligated that I inform readers that this was the worst meal I've ever had. Please, take my word for it and choose another Chinese restaurant.

one of the best chinese restaurants in town – Have had the best food experience. Great dishe and wonderful appetizers. Had bon-bon chicken(not on a menu) and minced chicken - still remember the taste. excellent service

A standout for Chinese in this area! a must try – We were delighted from start to finish with our experience at the Hunan Lion. Our first visit was for weekday lunch. Hunan has a white tablecloth dining room, Dockers are probably more appropriate than jeans, but it's certainly not pretentious by any stretch. Appetizers were Thai rolls with plum sauce, and they were excellent! Our entrees were Hunan Beef and a selection from their Thai menu, Chicken Curry. Both were top quality, and the portions were just right; we had leftov... read more

Yummy – While I will admit the food is "americanized" in that is is not nearly as spicy as authentic chinese food would be, it is by far the best I've had. When you eat the food you can instantly tell that their meat is really meat, and not some unidentified deep-fried mass. The veggies are also quite fresh and the atmosphere is cool - I especially love the rug on the back wall.
