We stumbled upon HanCo SPCA before attending a birthday party. My 6 year old had been begging for a kitty and we thought she would enjoy playing with a few. The staff was AMAZING! They didn't mind her asking to see every cat available (some more than once!) They answered all of her questions, told her about each cat and what was special about each cat and mentioned a few that would make a good match for her. The adoption process was quick and easy! They made us feel very welcome, the shelter was very clean and the prices are... read more

in June of 2016 I adopted "Bruno" a one eyed pekingese. He is now known as Benson. This crazy pup has everyone in household trained to do his bidding. Benson is the proud owner of an extensive collection of stuffed toys ranging from the multicolored gecko, a duck, rabbit, hedgehog and his first toy froggy with a mohawk. My life would be less joyful without this little guy.

Not to replace our Huey who we had for 12 years and passed in March but to love and care for. Minnie’s human had recently passed away. Funny how things work out ... the first night home she let me know when it was bedtime. Oh yes it took a couple of weeks for us to understand Minnie’s wants and needs but ion doing so we discovered the most ... read more

We adopted 2 of your dogs in April 2011, they were called Patty & Rita. We’ve still love them so much. Their new names are Addie & Trophie. Here’s a picture of them this year. — with Henry Ramsey Matthews and 2 others.

We brought Caden home today! The staff is very friendly and helpful! Caden may or may not have been a little scared to get in the car but the staff was very helpful in coaxing him in.
