Established in 1977 by Lamar Anderson, Hugo's is now owned by Jason Piazza. This subterranean restaurant has been a favorite with the locals since its inception. Always a favorite! The place has hardly changed in 40 years of business... the food & service is always top notch.
Long ago, a man named Hugo opened a burger joint in Fayetteville. He taught his granddaughter how to play piano when it was empty. She thanked him by painting his portrait. Soon after, an oil fire in the kitchen burned Hugo’s down. The only things saved from the fire were the piano that he carried out on his back and this portrait.
