This lively spot in the heart of River Street is located on the street level of the River Street Inn. A spirited bar is surrounded by a low-lit assortment of tables, opening up onto an extensive patio that lines the sidewalk for open air dining. Bayou cooking dominates the menu, with regional favorites from New Orleans such as beignets for breakfast, muffaletta sandwiches (or the veggie muffaletta) for lunch, and Pan-Fried Pork Chops for dinner. Don't miss the traditional red beans and rice, which comes with most entrees.

I liked it a lot! The only problem I had was that I asked for parmesan garlic grits instead of rice with my gumbo. I got the gumbo with rice in a bowl and separate bowl of grits. It was ok because I was still able to try the garlic parmesan grits which was my first time eating it. My thoughts are that the rice is better with the gumbo anyways.
Excellent service, Josh was great. Food was really good !
Just terrible.. from the service to the food. I was mad that our last meal in Savannah was wasted here.
Hamburger burnt to a crisp. She re filled our tea one time after it sat empty for almost 20 minutes. She came by twice the whole hour we were there.
Tyler was our waiter, energetic and really great with my kids. Excellent service and food. Shrimp and grits and jambalaya were incredible. Will visit again!
Service and food both excellent view of the River and Esplanade some sea going large vessels floated by very nice. Oysters Shrimp and Grits all kinds of fresh seafood awesome truly enjoyed.
The location is prefect, right on the Savannah river, and the food is so good! This was our last stop before we headed out of town and we sat for almost 2 hours, trying out the food and coffee. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and while it is a little pricy we will definately be back!!
Great view and beignets while sitting on River Street watching the cargo ships go by. Try the Sazerac while you're there.
Beignets are amazing. Omelet was generously packed with all of the requested ingredients. Bloody Mary was just right. And the gumbo over grits was very tasty.
