I have natural wavy hair and since I was growing it out, I was talked into doing a body wave to even out the curls & add volume... During the consult & day of the appt ( July 2012 ), I confirmed that it will be large curls, not kinky ones... Sure enough, the girl hasnt done one of these since she was probably in school and I paid for a Sr. Stylist... (No Offense) Tensions & time product was left in my hair was no words to descibe it... LOVE IT! – EMILY MOTT, she is an amazing stylist at Hue! I was greeted by the lovely staff, offered complementary tea or water, had a free scalp, neck and hand massage, amazing! Emily, listened to what I wanted and executed the cut perfectly! OH! And if you are first time customer at Hue, you get half off your service! I will be going back to Emily…in November! Will not go back – This sounded like a great salon. I purchased a groupon to try it out. I'm fairly easy going when it comes to my hair. I figure that this is what a hair dresser does for a living and should be able to help me figure out what looks good one me. I only go a few times a year to get my hair done, so this was going to be a treat. ok but not the best – really want to give this salon 5 stars but I cannot. Let me preface my review by saying I have very coarse, natural, African-American kinky hair. When I called to make my appointment I asked for someone skilled with working with this hair type. I wanted a trim and a partial foil, all over color. Bad customer service! – Management needs to take a course in how to run a salon. I waited for ever, the stylist gave me attitude and the manager was a pain! Shame on you Salon Hue. I will never go back again! Not cool. I will make sure to tell all my friends.

I'm Picky, It Was Great! – I'm new to Orange County and my coworker gave me the name or her hair dresser. I'm very picky, sometimes too picky, so of course I was nervous. I looked their pricing up online, yes there are different pricing levels so I made sure to mention to the desk when I made the appointment which level I was most comfortable with. HORRIBLE! Left with burns on my face from waxing! – Horrible service first of all. Waaaaaaaay over priced. Secondly, do not go here to get waxed. Im afraid they do not know what they are doing (i believe her name was Linda). I went here to get waxed and left with only half of my skin. Needless to say I will never go back. I also have a 10 dollar off coupon and instead of giving me 10 dollars of the less than intelligent front desk girl charged me 10 dollars more.

Excellent Service !! – I am not the "hair done every week " woman. I work outside and my hair shows it. In fact, before my first visit with this salon I had not had a haircut or color for over 2 years. So the prices set me back on my heels, but they range with how experience your stylist. I chose what I felt was the middle range and I chose extremely well. I was given an appt with Emily Mott. The service you get is not the same as what the website states. – I think the quality of service that one gets from this salon is dependent on who you are. My impression is that "if you look like you have money, you will be treated much better". I didn't get all the services they claimed all customers will get as part of their visit in their website.
