Ive been fishing the western sound for 30 years, and John Knight at Hudson Park is one of the reasons I still like doing it. Most of the NYC shops are hotshots trying to sell expensive gear, John is a nice guy, always willing to help anyone from experienced anglers to novices. A great little place to stop. His bait is always good and is a strong advocate of conservation. Ive fished all over the East Coast and while he does not stock a million rods and reels, he can always get you what you need. His mates are first class too.
nice people working there,very knowledgable.a little far from wher I live but if im fishin by Rye I would stop there first before i go up any further.
