So my elderly 89 -year-old stepfather who has Alzheimer’s, dementia, no vision in one eye and legally blind in the other, cannot communicate effectively or comprehend, barely walks with a cane, wanders into The Hub Bicycle shop in Napa on July 9. Purchases this humongous heavy electric bicycle at the tune of $2586 out the door. Mind you he hasn’t sat on a bicycle in 35 years. He made it home from the store only to dump it when he got there. The Hub staff were so helpful on the phone as I explained I was travelling to Napa (from St. Charles, IL) and interested in renting a bike for a day. They had my size, put my pedals on and gave me turn by turn directions from my starting point near Lake Berryessa, high in the hills. Found my way to the Silverado trail and enjoyed every minute of my 58 mile ride. Great bike, helpful team and great store atmosphere. Thank you!
