Dr. Nersesyan is an exceptional neurologist and one of the best doctors I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and takes his patients and their concerns seriously. I've been his patient for many years and he has went above and beyond for me. He truly cares for his patients. He is one of my daughters greatest role models. She wants to be a doctor scientist since she was a toddler and she is a gifted girl, I can tell he cares about her too. He listens to you and has made my migraines decrease dramatically. Which has gave me more freedom. If you want a doctor that is professional and actually cares, then please choose him.
Saw him for headaches over three years ago. I have dealt with a variety of doctors that respected me. HOWEVER, Dr. Nersesyan was the exception. He was rude and told me I shouldn't take the pain meds I did until I could get in. He went so far as to say my neurosurgeon. Dr. Tsung (a highly regarded doctor) didn't know what he was talking about AND the radiologist didn't know what they were seeing stating that there can't be a depression on the optic chasm. Hello?!? He came across as very dismissive, accusatory, and condescending, and not at all interested in the concerns I was actually there for (any kind of relief from chiari malformation symptoms). “It's an anatomical condition, so you can’t change it. Can you comprehend that?” I asked for a referral for a second opinion elsewhere, and while he agreed that I have the right to do so, his tone made it clear to me that he believed I was stupid for thinking I could get different answers elsewhere. I drove over and hour with high expectations to see Dr. Nersesyan today. He has zero bedside manner and belittled me the entire time, causing me to end up crying and leaving his office. He was rude, unprofessional, and no help at all. He said, "You've already tried all of the migraine medication in the world and they supposedly don't work. What do you want me to do?" I will be filing a formal complaint.
