UnSolicited Spam/ Marketing is Unacceptable. This business practice is Shady and any corporation that Does not have a way to Opt Out via any online account is Wrong. One is Only aware of this Issue when one gets this Unwanted Spam! It should be Unacceptable that my PII data is Sucked into a Vortex of a database for the sole purpose of Exploitation. h&R block is the worst to deal with.sturgis SD.owner .is very rude the Emerald card service is the worst I ever felt with .they rude they lie to you the will even cuss you out .and that is their supervisors .as well as employees .i won't be using h&R ever again I used an for 30 years not any more I won't

I am currently fighting to get the program to work. I have been a customer of the downloadable program for years and the customer support has never been best but this is the first year that it is impossible to get through to technical support (5 hours 4 calls and counting). This is after misleading advertising (it look like "Free for state" and was "Fees for state." H&R Block made an error on my 2018 tax return which cost me $17,700 in back taxes and penalties. It has over a year since I had to pay these back taxes and H&R Block has done nothing to reimburse me for the mistake they made. And yes, I paid for the "Piece of Mind." H&R Block continues to give me a different story each time I contact them. On person tells me to continue to wait for additional IRS letters, another tells me they are still working on it (yeah, a year later?). I purchased HR Block deluxe plus State software. No problem filing the federal return, the state return has turned into a nightmare. My state is still in pending status weeks after the federal was accepted. I contacted the state and they have no record of my return and requested HR block retransmit the return. I have called HR block customer service 3 times (average hold 1.5 hours each time) they escalated my problem to level two and assigned a case number. The day I had my taxes done by a rep named Fatima M******** she kept making comments about the phones and internet not working not working well. When I paid my fee at the desk Fatima kept telling me the web was delayed. this went on for several minutes. She then said that my payment showed as accepted, and said that unless I wanted a receipt my bill was paid. Over the next few weeks I would occasionally check the IRS website about my return. I went to H&R Block in Roy, Utah and was told I had to make an appointment but I can leave my paper work and fill out a form. I asked the receptionist if they’d know I need help with an amendment and was told “yes”. Me and H&R rep. Played phone tag I called in AM hours and advised I could not come in the times my tax preparer is in I work two jobs and rep. Stated I could sign or send any docs in my block. Absolute worst. I have faithfully gone to H & R Block for about 30 years. Every year when something goes wrong I tell myself “never again”. But......by the time new year comes around I always seem yo give them another chance. This year, not only were my taxes not completed correctly, nobody seems competent enough to schedule a phone appointment to talk to anyone. Nor can anyone answer simple questions as to if they have been refiled or what is goin on. Absolutely disgusted.

H&R block is not owning their error in not being ready to file forms for customers they say the IRS has not released the 1099-B form, but when you go to IRS.gov you can see this been out for some time. When I asked for support on this they told me I just needed to use a more expensive version of their software, it's just a way to get more money when they messed up.
