They do not even deserve one star. For almost 10 years my taxes were completed by HR Block in **********. I moved in Dec 2021 to ********** to be near family (pandemic). I had to use the "My Block" account this year. with my ** tax pro. It was a nightmare. 1. a W2 was left out and the tax pro never asked me what the document was. H&R Block ****** ***** lost my paperwork and did not file my taxes as promised. I only found out after contacting them to find out why my refund has not been received. After reporting the issue to the local manager, she promised to call me back by 5/15 after searching for my records. I have not received a call and now their office is closed again until Thursday. We contacted the main office to file a complaint, received a case number and a promise that we would have an update no later than 5/15. No one called ** back. I call... read more

************* location was probably the worse and most expensive experience when it comes to filing taxes. Accountant was rude and their advertising of upfront pricing is non existent.

WORST TAX SEASON EVER!!!! For 14 years I have prepared my taxes on my own with no problems. This is my second year doing my taxes with HRBLOCK AND I REGRET IT TREMENDOUSLY!!! This year HRBLOCK and it's tax professionals were aware that the software they were using was malfunctioning for atleast certain low poverty areas in *******, **, but they still prepared people tax returns with out making customers aware until afterward. In 2021 I had H&R Block file my taxes. **************************************************************************************************. I paid my taxes and all seemed well. Now I find out they made a mistake on my tax form regarding the advanced child tax break credit. This mistake resulted in me still owing over $1,000 after fees and interests. H&R Block was unable to complete my 2022 tax return due to a known software issue. I did not find out about this software issue until I was in the final review phase of my return process, and I was the one who caught the error on my return (not my tax advisor!!). In order to review my return, I had to pay the tax preparation fees ($550) first. Then I found out about the software... read more

How ***** Block has stayed in business since '55 is a mystery! ******************* professionalism, accuracy, communication...NO!!!! - Website...non functioning. Help desk...tells me to send my info via email....really?? - Response from accountant to my questions....I am still waiting (it's now May).- *********** minimal at best. Ill make it short. My tax pro entered my wire transfer number instead of my account number (even though I clearly labeled everything on the spreadsheet I gave her) and the *** and state couldnt access my account to debit my taxes. I was absolutely on my own in trying to contact *** and state to deal with my tax pros error. H&R BLOCK had my fund transferred to their account and claims they aren't able to locate it. I contacted the *** whom stated, it was deposited, and to which account information it was deposited into. H&R BLOCK ARE CROOKS!!! I would highly recommend to stay clear. I spoke with a ***************** who was useless in her ability to do her job , when I called for help.
