We drive 3 1/2 hours to see family that live in town. Stopped in to grab a couple things and our 2 year old son wasn’t allowed to use the restroom. The lady working the counter was rude and we will not be stopping here again.
great people, ownership and selection for a small town
RecommendedI've always given my business to my hometown, but after the experience we had with Evan and Greg, I will never shop there again. Supplies were bought to build a fence. The #2 cedar fence boards were completely unusable due to cracks, huge knots and uneven cuts. Trying to return the boards was nothing but a hassle. A 20% restocking fee was required and the wouldn't give credit for the boards that were previously hung. Small Town stores with big selection. Friendly staff that is way more knowledgeable than what you would find in a big box store.
In all my experiences, Hoys Hardware is always courteous and professional. It’s a real joy to shop at this location. I always ask basic home improvement questions as many of the employees are skilled tradesmen.
The employees and manager are very helpful with questions and making sure you get what you need. This store has a variety of things to cover almost anything! Shop local - you will be glad you did :-)
