I love this place!!!!! It was hard to find a vet that we thought was good for our Rottweiler. They take such good care of Mojo when she's in and Mojo loves them too!!!
Dr. McCarty has cared for our sweet dog, Libby for nearly 14 yrs. I cannot imagine ever using any vet, other than her! The staff is equally as wonderful.

Completely unprofessional. Spent over 30 mins in the waiting room after scheduled appt time. Under-staffed, over-worked, unprofessional establishment. NOT LARGE DOG FRIENDLY. Received unwarranted lecture and ridicule about my non-neutered 8 yr old dog directly from the "VET". Paid cash - was handed receipt. I had to ask for my own change back!!! I seriously doubt my dog was even given the shots I paid for. Transferring my dog from this poor excuse of a facility to a much more professional facility. This place is a joke. Plea... read more

Dr. McCarty and her excellent team provided the best care my (sadly now-passed) cat Salem has ever received. The employees at the pet hospital truly care about you and your pet. Having moved around the US, I had taken Salem to many veterinarians throughout our 13 years together. For the rest of my time in Cincinnati, I will definitely recommend Howell Ave Pet Hospital to all of my friends, and I will return back to them with my next furry friend. I finally found a vet I love and trust! Dr. McCarty and her staff are awesome. They love all three of my dogs, Fausto, Lola and Ari. They are always able to squeeze me in at the last minute and there is hardly ever a wait.
Too many good things to say! Such a caring, professional staff! And Dr. McCarty is the best!
