If I could give this place negative stars I absolutely would. My initial clinical experience was fine but the way the procedures I received were documented became an issue with insurance. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get the required information to fix this issue, never in my LIFE did I think I’d have more difficulty with the clinic than the insurance company. Finding a good OBGYN in DC has been hard for me. I have yet to find one. Howard's Women's Wellness Center is where I initially always went. It is not the best. When you call, you can't get through, or they're all booked up, and even when you do get an appointment, the students are not professional most of the time. I overheard them laughing about how they accidentally left a patient sitting in a room and they were finished with them... yea it was ME! So yes, if I go, no I do NOT want students in my room. Do not come here ! One day you may get a good student the next time you got a student from hell that don’t know how to talk to you and talks over you not even looking at the chart . They literally do not listen and communication to get an appointment or results is beyond terrible. Black women deserve better . I will be requesting my records and going anywhere but this place .
I definitely would not recommend this center for your care, specifically there's a doctor name Dr. Sarma who's pretty much one of those "know it all" Doctor that talks over you don't allow you to speak your peace oh and be prepared to wait at least an hour ( sometimes longer ) before getting into a room after that you'll then probably wait another hour before one of there medical students come dragging in, it's just not worth it, there are plenty other women care centers in DC,...hope this help and if you decide to give it a... read more
