***** Dr, Howard is an amazing diagnostician whom I first saw because I had visited numerous physicians in a variety of fields without any diagnosis being given. He is very thoughtful, thorough, compassionate at all times. No, he doesn't take insurance, but you can file and recover from your own provider. Highly unorganized medical practice, constant turn over of employees, several unprofessional and inept staff members, perpetual extreme wait time, poor management of office phones, substandard customer service, and an ongoing pattern of disconcerting online reviews!
I recently visited Dr. Howard because I had shingles and was suffering with hepatic neurology I have been a patient there for the past 5 years, after being diagnosed with Shogren's syndrome. Dr. Howard was demeaning and dismissed all my complaints associated with shingles. He could have easily recommended Galapentin to alleviate the pain. Instead he acted insulted that I had taken up some of his time and, indicated he never wanted to see me again Well he will never see me again!!!
Long wait times when hardly any patients. Turnover for pa’s is high. Does not take insurance. I have had ra for at least 10 years. This doctor goes mostly by bloodwork which is very dangerous. During my time there I had four pa’s . My pain never under control. They never did scans. Also they missed that I also had sjogrens. Pa said I might have a little sjogrens going on hahaha. Sjogrens is very serious. I also had relasping polychondritis which they missed. Could have killed me

I have been seeing Dr. Howard for almost 10 years. The office is friendly, calm and competent. I never feel rushed, and always have time to discuss my complicated needs. Occasionally there is a bit of a wait, but to me, that means that someone needs the extra time, just as I do on occasion.
My first visit was great, however my second was bad. I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes from appointment time before going to exam room, finally saw NPA, but never saw Dr. He does not accept Medicare payment, but will file for you. You get very little back.
Keeps you waiting long times, takes phone calls from other doctors during YOUR exam, rude, supercilious and obnoxious. I have no idea why they sell all that stuff; it's like an oriental bazaar. I will suffer in pain for the rest of my life before I submit myself to any contact with that person again. If you work or if you care about your time for any reason, you are now warned.
I know there are mixed reviews here. All I can say is how it was explained to me, Dr. Howard gets it when others don't. When he first sees you, he's very serious. I would attribute this to the wheels turning aND trying to figure out how to best help. He's amazing and will do whatever he can to find relief.
