Check in was fast and front cleark friendly . First look place looked run down on outside . At check in I could smell chlorine , because the pool is built in the middle of motel . This would explain why the bad reviews on musty and mold . The interior rooms do have a overwhelming smell of mosture . I would recommend asking for a exterior room . shortage of towels in bathroom . Extremely disappointed with our stay! Would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. The Hotel was dirty, the rooms were dirty. The beds were so uncomfortable, the toilet ran constantly. Breakfast in the morning was a joke! And to top it off the Manager was rude! I recommend to all future travelers to Hastings Nebraska do NOT stay at the Howard Johnson Convention Center!!
