It is very off-putting when first arriving to pay for a room. The man at the front desk was behind a plastic-glass shield looking border, between me and him. So that made it pretty obvious, the neighborhood of which I chose the hotel was dangerous and that was terribly unsettling. The ceiling in the bathroom of the hotel room, was caving in. My initial response was disappointing. I was given room 127 up the steep hill which required me to walk up 30 or more steep steps while pulling my luggage. I asked for a room on the lower level and was told none were available. After staying in that room for a week it snowed and I awakened to no electricity in the frigid cold. I ran down the steep hill slipping and sliding to the office where I requested another room. Again I was told none were available. So I remained in the lobby to stay warm.
